This natural dyed indigo cloth is made by the Bamana people of Mali. Strips of cotton are woven on a narrow loom and sewn together to form a larger piece of fabric. It is then resist-dyed with fresh green leaves from the indigo tree. Soft and light the indigo cloth is made and admired by many different cultures.
